The Condon Report
Designed over a period of 8 weeks, this publication is an exercise in typography, pacing, and layout. Using Edward U. Condon’s Study of Unidentified Flying Objects as content and only black ink, this book aims to capture the other-worldly, mysterious (& sometimes even frightening) feeling of stumbling onto a dangerous, significant artifact.

A book of 388 pages, it also features a black-on-black printed cover, off-white pages and a section printed on bright green paper. Traditional serif typography is contrasted with a geometric, mechanical typeface, pointing to a science-fiction inspiration, while redaction that gradually increases in aggression creates the sense that the reader is holding a highly classified document they probably should not be in possession of.
