What I learned
Collaborating with clients & the art of the keynote
DeRoy Education Partners (DeEP) is a new non-profit organization funded by the DeRoy Testamentary Foundation that supports college sophomores and juniors, an often under-looked part of the student population. The DeEP Fellowship program provides financial assistance, mentorship, and volunteer experience. This scholarship opportunity bring their fellow together for regular career coaching workshops, aiming to foster a sense of camaraderie within the group.

Working with my colleagues, we built a complete brand identity for DeEP from scratch. Through collaboration and discussions with the organization’s board, we settled on a visual system that both fits DeEP’s mission and is approachable and appealing to their target audience.
The branding system includes a set of custom icons designed with the college experience in mind, as well as a collection of merchandise that ranges from standard (like mugs and totes) to more ambitious (electric scooters, anyone?) Typography and color reflect our guiding statement of “friendly, somewhat serious, original, and a little bold.”
